WA•HI•NE (wä-hē′nē)
The word wahine originated from Maori, the language of a Polynesian people native to New Zealand, meaning woman or wife. Hawaiians and Tahitians used this word to mean woman as well and later it became their slang term for woman who rides the waves.
The Wahine Collection honors every woman. It celebrates her natural beauty, as well as her strength and resilience. I like to think of each woman as a shell or a piece of glass honed smooth over the years of tumbling in the surf. She is imbued with wisdom from her journey and stands ready to be seen for who she is.
No sea life was harmed during the collection of the shells.
