Each piece is unique, so the cost will vary depending on the materials, stone choices, and complexity of the design. Custom work often costs more than pieces you see on my website because it includes one-to-one collaboration, time spent sourcing stones or materials, and any additional design work needed to bring your piece to life.
To make checkout a little more flexible, Christine Mighion Jewelry offers Shop Pay Installments as a payment option. Simply choose Shop Pay Installments at checkout, and your order will be processed as usual.
Once your jewelry is ready, I will ship it according to my normal timeline. Any installment payments will be managed directly through Shop Pay. Please note that Shop Pay is a separate service from Christine Mighion Jewelry, so any payment terms, approvals, or financing questions will need to be handled directly with them.
I use 14k & 18k gold (yellow and rose), sterling, and fine silver. Whenever possible I source recycled metal from reputable US based metal suppliers.
No, I do not use client-provided stones or recycle client-provided metal for custom pieces.
I completely understand the sentimental value a stone or heirloom piece can hold, which is exactly why I’m careful with this boundary. Some stones are softer or more fragile than they appear and can chip, crack, or break during the making process. Because of that, I’m not comfortable taking responsibility for materials I did not personally source.
Recycling metal is also a more involved process that requires specific equipment I do not have in my studio. For custom work, I will source the stones and materials needed for your piece.
I only take on 1–2 custom projects each month so I can give each piece the time and attention it deserves. Timing can vary depending on the design and whether stones or special materials need to be sourced, but most custom pieces are completed within 4–6 weeks.
If your project requires a longer timeline, I will let you know before we begin.
I want you to feel completely happy with the direction of your piece, so we will take the time we need to talk through the design before any stones or materials are ordered.
Once stones or metal have been ordered, or once the piece has entered fabrication, changes will come with an additional cost. Materials are purchased specifically for your project, and I will also have time invested in the design, sourcing, and making process. Depending on where we are in the project, changes may require new materials or reworking parts of the piece already in progress.
For custom projects over $600, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit before work begins. This deposit is based on the estimated cost of your project. The remaining balance is due once your piece is complete.
Final payment must be made within 14 days of being notified that your piece is ready. If payment is not received within that time, the piece may be made available for sale on my website.
For smaller projects or simple alterations, full payment is required up front.
Upon completing your special piece, I'll reach out to you with images and finalized costs. An invoice will then be sent to you (unless already paid in full).
Again, final payment must be made within 14 days of being notified that your piece is ready. If payment is not received within that time, the piece may be made available for sale on my website.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to include them in the submission form or email me at info@christinemighion.com.
